Pay a fee to ride, and you (or you and a friend) can navigate two laps of twists and turns around the ship's funnel as you use the throttle and hyper-boost buttons to try to break the day's speed record. (Yes, you'll be timed, and don't forget to smile for a photo.) The ocean views from above are totally worth the cost. Join me as we explore the captivating world of cruise ships together. This bar is open most days from 7 am to 12 am, serving specialty cocktails like the Calle Ocho and the Key Lime Pie. On the Celebration, Java Blue also serves a variety of snacks throughout the day, both complimentary and extra fee.

It was completely different — different color, different taste and different presentation — from what I received when I ordered the same drink on a sailing two months prior. I was told the drink had to be changed for several reasons. However, the old ingredients were listed on the menu, meaning passengers weren't getting what they thought they ordered.

Below you’ll find all the bar and drink menus for the Jubilee. In looking at the drink prices, be sure to factor in the extra 18% gratuity added to every beverage purchase. For my three-day cruise to the Bahamas, the total price to purchase Carnival’s Cheers! You'll find it's an affordable Caribbean vacation that speaks to just about any traveler who enjoys a large-cruise-ship experience. There are 15+ different bars and lounges on Carnival Celebration, including some that are brand new to Carnival Cruise Line fleet.
Don’t want to pay for each individual drink?

If you are on a Carnival cruise from most places, then you have to be 21 years old to drink on the ship. However, when you are in a port of call, you’re subject to that country’s rules. So on the ship, you have to be 21 years old, but stop in Cozumel and you can drink in port at 18 years old. It’s not that you can get a drink any time of day, but just about. The hours will vary from bar to bar, but with so many on board, there’s often at least one open around the ship outside of the early morning hours. In general, we suggest using this as a chance to try something new.

Most nights are designated "cruise casual," which means just that — khakis or jeans, polo shirts, sundresses and the like. Super casual items such as cutoff jeans, men's sleeveless shirts, T-shirts and gym shorts are supposedly not permitted, but I saw plenty of them in the dining rooms during dinnertime on Carnival Jubilee. Carnival Jubilee passengers will automatically have $16 per person per day added to their onboard bills.
The Remedy, Hearts of Fire, Restorative Basil Drop, The Perfect Storm and Cucumber Sunrise cocktails are also available sans alcohol. The rustic leather-covered cocktail menu holds a list of "remedies" and "elixirs" made with various herbs and botanicals. The Alchemy Bar is designed to resemble a pharmacy from a bygone era. The venue's vintage pharmacy theme plays out in bar props like apothecary jars, old-timey-looking wooden drawers and lab coat-wearing mixologists. Menu reflects an increase in price from $10.95 to $12.00 in May 2022. The RedFrog Tiki Bar is a supersized version of the RedFrog Rum Bar that’s on most other Carnival ships.

For cruises from international ports, you'll need a passport. Note that it is important that the name on your reservation be exactly as it is stated on your passport or other official proof of nationality. All this said, we recommend checking Carnival's website before sailing for up-to-date requirements. A few other forms of identification, such as a passport card, also are acceptable. Entertainment on Carnival Jubilee is a combination of passenger favorites from other ships and new shows that you'll only find on this vessel.

Further, Java Blue Café serves breakfast items like breakfast sandwiches and continental pastry items. The café also serves lunch items that include sandwiches, chicken pies, empanadas, and more. There are desserts available too, but they will cost a nominal fee.

Make your way up a deck, and you'll find the Limelight Lounge, which serves as a secondary performance space and trivia outpost. This nautically themed outpost is next to a popular access point to the outer decks, so the only downside is that you might be blasted with hot air while your drink is being made. Drinks are priced individually unless you have a Cheers beverage package that includes alcohol.
From the drink names, to the bartenders’ white coats, this bar has a unique flair. We highly suggest you have these master mixologists stir up one of the exclusive elixirs, like the Alchemist’s Sidecar, the Cucumber Sunrise, or the Forty is the New Twenty. The talented and friendly bartenders are always quick to mix up some drinks from the specialty cocktail menu, with new takes on classics like the Harvey Wallbanger, a Golden Sidecar, or the tasty tiramisu martini. Located in the Gateway Zone is a brand new bar on Carnival Celebration, the Golden Jubilee Bar. At this lounge, cruisers take a step back to the golden age of cruising. From the dark wood tones and a large central bar, to historical pieces from the cruise line’s history and live classical music, this martini bar was one of our favorite spots on the ship.
The piano is located at the forward of the lounge and the bar is set off to the side. The Tides Bar is the outdoor bar on the aft, or back, of the ship by the Tides Pool. Whether you want a delicious frozen cocktail or a can of your favorite beer, it's a great place to grab a pool-side drink.
The Cucumber Sunrise (a fan favorite) made with vodka, fresh lime juice, watermelon nectar and muddled cucumber is definitely worth checking out. Also, the Quick Fix, with vodka, gin, rum, Midori liqueur, Pernod absinthe and Sprite, should cure all that ails you. JavaBlue Cafe is the premier coffee place that’s on board about half of the Carnival ships. Ships that don’t currently have JavaBlue still have a stand-alone coffee shop under a different name but prices and beverage selection will vary. On Excel-class ships (Mardi Gras, Celebration, and Jubilee), Java Blue Cafe also offers sandwiches and snacks throughout the day.
There's also a hot tub at Loft 19 on Deck 19, which charges a fee for access. If you're interested in spending time outdoors working on your tan by the pool, you can do so at one of five onboard pools. In addition to a fun selection of cocktails — some of which involve candy — the bar's theme is tied to an animated octopus named Dr. Inks. She has a Ph.D., pet butterflies and extensive collections of both books and fashionable eyewear. Every so often, she'll appear on the screens above the area to chat.
Even on port days, when most passengers are ashore, the public areas are filled with loud music that makes it hard to find a quiet escape. After all, Carnival vessels are known as the Fun Ships, but some of it seems unnecessary. Of course, the highlight of this zone is the Bolt roller coaster.
Rudi’s Seagrill is a high-end seafood restaurant found on Carnival Mardi Gras, Carnival Celebration, and Carnival Jubilee. They also have a dedicated cocktail menu so you can pair a special drink with your entree. Only on the newest Carnival ships – Carnival Jubilee, Carnival Celebration and Mardi Gras – the Red Frog Tiki bar is a South Pacific-themed bar where you can enjoy Polynesian punch, rum cocktails and RedFrog beers. When I went onboard Carnival Celebration in November 2022, I took photos of the drinks menus for you. Each ship has a slightly different selection of bars, but this should still give you a good idea of the drinks available on a Carnival cruise right now.
